MISSION STATEMENT We are organized to provide quality, on time, responsive, and competitively priced, multi-disciplined consulting engineering, design, and drafting services to a diversity of industrial clientele. HISTORY Established in 1962, Superior Engineering existed primarily to service the industrial Midwest. At that time, the bulk of Superior's business resided in the prominent steel manufacturing industry, with occasional machine design, institutional, and oil refining work. Since then, it has grown and branched out into new fields, taken on new challenges, and established major clients nationwide. In 1988, a new management team took over under the direction of Ronald L. Hunter as CEO, who turned S/E into an employee owned company (ESOP), and propelled the company forward into new markets. His leadership and business principles shaped the company into what we are today. Superior Engineering has been serving industry for over 36 years now, and employs over 100 engineering, designing, drafting, and management specialists. Over 85% of our annual revenues are generated by repeat business and continual service contracts from a multiplicity of clients in various business sectors. Ron Hunter understood that above all else, growth was essential to the long-term vitality of the company. Since our origin in the steel industry, we have grown to encompass fields ranging from commercial, municipal, and federal institutions, public utilities, food processing, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, environmental, general contracting, construction, heavy and light manufacturing, and chemical processing. PROJECT AREAS S/E realizes that few projects are complete by themselves. Most are born out of an idea whose translation to reality requires considerable engineering work. S/E has the capability and talent to assist in developing the most basic ideas into workable designs. From the simple to the complex, S/E works with its clients to translate concepts and ideas, into practical solutions, which fit specific economic needs. From retrofit and replacement, to totally new process, equipment, and facility design, S/E provides a full spectrum of services for design engineering and project management. Beginning with design concept and feasibility, we provide services for all phases of project development. S/E's principal project areas are covered by the Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Design-Build, Environmental, and Process groups. Through these departments, we are able to cover all facets of engineering, procurement, project management, construction management, and numerous support SERVICES. Using state of the art technology, computer applications, and informational resources to assist in problem solving and data analysis, we are able to provide quality engineering that is reliable, efficient, economic, and functional. CLIENT APPRECIATION and CUSTOMER SATISFACTION Superior takes the time to get to know our clients, and by knowing our clients, we can better understand their problems and how to fix them the best, and most practical way. On each engagement, we establish clear communication with the client, thoroughly analyze their needs, and directly ascertain their expectations for our performance. Our purpose as professional engineering consultants is to use fundamental scientific principles, coupled with our experience and knowledge of the latest technologies, to assist our CLIENTS in achieving maximum use of their facilities through better design. Superior Engineering understands that it is necessary for our clients to have completed facilities which are workable and well designed, so that their operations can efficiently and economically produce high quality products and services. Our success is based primarily on our staff's ability to address and satisfy our clients' needs using their professional, technical, and communicational abilities. No matter how much the industry changes or how technology affects our lives, one thing is constant, and that is personal attributes, such as innovation and imagination, are the single most valuable resource in our occupation.

Unlike other businesses, S/E recognizes and utilizes its employees' abilities, and uses them to grow the company stronger and expand our business beyond traditional boundaries. By being active in scholastic co-op and internship programs, and supportive of continuing education, Superior Engineering develops its staff to their fullest potential. Some of our credentials include 4 mentored E.I.T.s, and 24 Professional Engineers licensed in as many as eight states, from some of the best institutions in the nation, with degrees ranging from: MECHANICAL, CIVIL, ELECTRICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, GEOTECHNICAL, INDUSTRIAL, and CHEMICAL engineering. We have two staff members with doctorate degrees, who actively counsel and instruct at local universities. By understanding that it's the people who make the company strong, Superior has the upper hand on the competition. We will continue to differentiate ourselves from our competitors by solving our clients' problems with the unique combination of skills and experience that are available within the Superior Engineering.
