Lambent Technologies was looking to increase their storage capacity by utilizing mezzanine space in their existing facility. S/E was contracted to conduct a thorough evaluation of the load capacities of the existing structure. And because their operations are 24/7, it was necessary to complete the entire evaluation alongside day-to-day operations.
A detailed report was provided to Lambent that outlined the structural load capacities of their existing structure and the upgrades required to satisfy future expansion plans. Based on their intended use of the structure, S/E determined that the mezzanine would need to be strengthened by 150 lbs/ft to accommodate the new loading.
