Thomas J. Gyure, CPE

As General Manager, Mr. Gyure is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, having complete P&L responsibility for both the IN & IL offices. He is charged with following the Mission and Operating principles of Superior Engineering and oversees the firm’s growth, diversification and client development. Thomas leads the firm’s strategic focus via quality initiatives, design excellence, sustainability and technical delivery. He works closely with the executive and senior management teams, identifying the firm’s annual goals, targets and KPI’s.

Thomas has extensive experience in business, having held leadership roles in engineering and operating departments, including P&L responsibility for multi-plant manufacturing operations. He has worked for both owners and consultants, including work at Inland Steel Company, I/N Tek and Triumph Industries. Thomas brings a diverse perspective to Superior Engineering’s consulting realm, and is a strong proponent of Lean Manufacturing, JIT and the Toyota Production System (TPS). Mr. Gyure is also Six Sigma Green Belt certified, through GE’s Crotonville campus.

Thomas joined Superior Engineering in 2006 as a Project Manager and has served as General Manager since 2013. He has overseen dramatic growth of the company in terms of employees, offices and project size. Mr. Gyure also serves on the Board of Directors of the firm’s parent company, S\TEC.
