Superior Engineering defines utilities and infrastructure as the production and distribution of the necessary fluids, gases and electricity that are used in a process or in the support of a process. It also includes removal of wastes resulting from the process or its supporting systems.

DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS

The internal distribution has an appreciable effect on the economics, safety and continuance of plant operation. Proper routing, line protection, clearances, support and code compliance are serious factors which must be met if the utility distribution system is to meet the test of flexibility, ease of maintenance, minimal costs and effective operation.
